Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery was established in 1982. Today its exhibition program focuses on artists from the Asia-Pacific region - Australia, New Zealand and Japan, in particular. Ten Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery artists have represented their country at the Venice Biennale. Recent examples of this are: 2015 Fiona Hall (Australia); 2011 Hany Armanious (Australia) and Michael Parekowhai (New Zealand); 2007 Callum Morton (Australia); 2003 Patricia Piccinini (Australia). Four Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery artists have exhibited in Documenta.
Australian artists such as Bill Henson, Tracey Moffatt and David Noonan who have been represented by the Gallery for many years have gone on to international prominence.
